Whether you're a professional lensman or a recreational photographer, the camera is always a means to an end. Instead of pushing products down their throat, CONSPIRACYSINC was therefore asked to help Olympus intrigue people on the wild possibilities of photography itself.
To help Olympus convey the art of photography, we created a pop-up art exhibition at the heart of Amsterdam and invited people to touch and try the latest Olympus camera in fun and inventive ways. Every visitor is given an OM-D E-M10 camera and encouraged to go on a photography spree at the playground and push their creative boundaries.
The Olympus playground was constructed in the former office building of the KAS bank in Amsterdam and offers a huge space filled with endless rooms and possibilities. The exhibits and artworks were created by professional and international artists and every room had an expert providing people with the necessary tips and tricks. To build the brand aspiration level for Olympus, famous photographers and celebrities were invited to become ambassadors and snap, share and experience the playground for themselves.
The playground first and foremost resulted in people literally becoming aware of the possibilities of photography and the role Olympus can play for them. An encompassing PR strategy than reached a wider audience and the experiences, that were shared by the celebrities and other visitors, made sure the brand aspiration level for Olympus in The Netherlands rose with every picture snapped.
